Handwoven Madur Runner and Mats Set (Black & Red)

The Madur Mat is woven mainly in the Sabong and Ramnagar areas in Midnapore district of West Bengal. There are three types of Madur that are woven- Erokha, Dorokha and Masland.

While Erokha and Dorokha are simple enough to execute, Masland is a very fine quality weave requiring expert and intrinsic skills.

Our collection is completely handwoven.

মাদুর-ট্রে-ঝুড়ি

উত্তরবঙ্গের কোচবিহার থেকে দক্ষিণবঙ্গের মেদিনীপুর – কোন অঞ্চল থেকে বোনা হচ্ছে বা কী ধরনের উপাদান তাতে ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে, তার উপর নির্ভর করে মাদুর ও ঝুড়িতে বোনা নকশা ও তার আকার। কাঁচামাল সংগ্রহ করা থেকে মাদুর ও ঝুড়ির বুনন, পুরো প্রক্রিয়াটির জন্য বিশেষ দক্ষতা ও জ্ঞানের প্রয়োজন।
